Driving into Zimbabwe

  • Get Visa and Immigration stamp
  • Ask for Gate Pass (that will need to be stamped by both Immigration and Customs)

  • Filled out Temporary Import Permit (TIP) - you get at the border
  • Car Registration Book
  • Vehicle Insurance

Driver needs to purchase:

  • Road Access Fee- $10 USD
  • Carbon Tax -$15 USD
  • Possibly 3rd Party Insurance

  • CARBON TAX:- BASED ON ENGINE SIZE
  • 0 – 1500cc: K50,000
  • 150l cc – 2000: K100,000
  • 200l cc – 3000: K15,000
  • 300l cc – Above: K200,000

Insurance:

  • CAN BE OBTAINED AT BORDER.

BOTSWANA (KASANE) – ZAMBIA (KAZUNGULA) Border:

Immigration:
